Xiang Guo
The founder of the The Guo Empire. Xiang Guo slew the dragon queen Tiamat atop Dracoven Mountain in the year 0GS, marking the end of the Scouring Fire (SF) era and the beginning of the Golden Sun (GS) era.
Xiang famously allied with the golden dragons in service of defeating Tiamat and other draconic monarchs who at the time had a choke-hold on Elia. The gold dragon Ceraxes allowed Xiang to ride him into battle and it was with Ceraxes that Xiang defeated Tiamat. Since then, Ceraxes' bloodline has been kept alive with successive generations of dragons often bonding to members of House Guo.
Though famous for her many successful military campaigns - both against the dragons and then against other kin states in the aftermath of the dragons' downfall - most contemporary scholars agree that Xiang put considerable effort into uniting Elia's kin population through peaceful means, and indeed, her defeat of Tiamat spurred a number of nations to swear fealty to the Guo Empire without needing to be threatened with violence.
