Terra

Terra refers to the Terra itself, Luna, and its orbital colonies. Terra is the third planet from the Sun and homeworld of Humanity and its Empires which spread across the solar system. Terra is the most populated planet in the Sol system home to billions, although most of its surface is wilderness or ocean. Its moon, Luna has been colonized by the nations of the earth and Yokai before them. In addition, a large population lives within large orbital habitats in Earth and Lunar orbit.

Nations

Major Nations

• The United States of Britannia(red on the map) is the semi-meritocratic constitutional monarchy ruled by noble mages with some republican elements and is the current solar system's strongest power after its victory several decades ago in the War of the Four Emperors.
• The German Empire(grey/black on the map) is an oligarchical monarchy which with its European-leading economic and technological power once rivaled Britannia, but has since given up after its loss in the war.
• The French Kingdom(blue) is a constitutional monarchy though the king holds little power and is merely a figurehead, with most of the power being held by the French Senate and People. France today remains a strong power, although it is currently weaker than Germany and Britannia and thus closing follows them in foreign policy.
• The Russian Empire(green) is an absolute monarchy that has mostly isolated itself after its loss in the war, abandoning its solar colonies, despite this, they do remain a strong power for the other nations to contend with on Earth.
• The Japanese Empire(light pink) is a constitutional monarchy with a strong nobility and warrior class. Japan since the war has become the largest nation on earth by population and would rival Britannia if not for their historical friendship.

Secondary Nations

• The Byzantium Republic(purple) was originally founded after the Sixth Yokai Invasion. It was once dominated by foreign powers but has since become a regional power on its own, even for a time occupying Britannian Egypt.
• The Iberian Union(yellow) which is a union of Portuguese and Spanish speaking peoples was founded in reaction to the formation of Britannia and Britannian attempts to culturally integrate former Latin romantic-speaking lands. Because of this, the peninsula’s foreign affairs with Britannia have historically been hard fought and has resulted in a major war fought against them in the War of the Four Emperors.
• The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth(dark pink) is an elective monarchy and was founded after the 1914 war, and slowly expanded to its current borders after subsequent wars, because of Germany's influence in their formation, the commonwealth maintains good relations with Germany.

Notable Locations

• Tibet is under the joint protection of Britannia and Japan and is one of the few nations which is ruled by Yokai on earth. The Yokai are small creatures commonly called dwarves and have adopted Tibetian culture as their own.
• The White Palace is home to the Britannian Emperor located inArthurnia and dates back the original White House of US presidents. It has since undergone several reconstructions and even a second destruction during the Allencourt crisis when rioters burned some of it down.
• The Serene Republic of Venice was refounded after Italy’s disbandment. Since then and with the emergence of space trade, Venice has once again developed itself into a neutral commercial hub for European trade. The city does also has connections with the Vesta Trade League which connects it to greater, potentially more profitable markets, as the league was largely influenced by the Venetians since its formation.
• The Continent of Antarctica was colonized in the 23rd century by the major powers, though it remains loosely populated and mostly focused on mining and research.
• Suez and Panama Canals were once major ports of shipping on Terra, but with the emergence of orbital trade routes, they have largely fallen out of use, except for hobbyists and occasional military seafaring ships.
