The Arlean Isles are a cluster of small, frigid islands located in the Fristhof Sea. Despite the harsh and inhospitable conditions of the region, one group - the Arleü - solely inhabit them. They are known for their strength and resilience in the face of the challenging environment, and more generally, for being crazy enough to live here. They are vaguely related to the Veiq people, who live across the waters in the equally inhospitable ice flats of Criamon-Sothet and also speak the Strvingydh language, which facilitates a light trade for the goods the Arleü need to survive. The two small settlements, Skath and Fogahe, are entirely minimalist in terms of permitting whatever existence that can be eked in such a place. Aside from the beautiful display from the aurora borealis which residents call the Solqal Baowbel (Dancing Lights), there is truly not much to interest outsiders.
