Fae Realm

Throughout all of Creation, few places inspire as much wonder, bewilderment, and even apprehension as the Fae Realm. Born at the dawn of Creation during the split instant when the newly formed universe and the chaotic Void first made contact, the Fae Realm is a highly chaotic and constantly shifting world, described by many as a representation of life, change, and possibility at its most wild and untamed. This realm is also home to the Fae, beings of pure magic known for their highly chaotic and mercurial nature, running the gamut from animalistic beasts to sapient individuals. Even with the numerous instances when the boundry between the Mortal and Fae Realm has weakened enough to allow crossings on either side, and the numerous encounters between mortals and Fae, there is still much of this otherworldly realm that remains unknown, and may remain so for as long as it exists.

Geography

The Fae Realm is a highly chaotic place, constantly shifting and rearranging itself, though it has been observed that the general geography of the Fae Realm seems to resemble places of unsploiled nature, particularly forests, fields, and lakes. Standing at what's believed to be the center of the Fae Realm is a massive tree, surrounded by an expansive forest, both of which serve as the home of the six Courts that serve as the defacto leadership of the realm. The surrounding forest is the home of the four seasonal Courts, with each section that falls under their territory being locked in the season the ruling Court is tied to. Within the brightly lit canopy of the central tree dwell the Dreaming Court, while the Nightmare Court have made their home among the roots and tunnels beneath it. Beyond these elements, the rest of the Fae Realm can vary wildly in appearance based on the influence of the Fae who rules the area, ranging from towns and castles that look like they've been pulled from a fairytale to forests of stained glass, among many other locales.

Localized Phenomena

As a realm made of pure magic and chaos, the layout and geography of the Fae Realm is constantly shifting and changing, with the exact appearance of an area depending on how the strongest Fae in the area wants it to look, explaining the highly disparate locations that make up the Fae Realm. Additionally, magic is far more unstable and unpredictable in the Fae Realm compared to Mortal Realm, making any kind of spellcasting far riskier, though the Fae themselves seem unaffected by this.

Fauna & Flora

The Fae Realm is the home of the Fae, chaotic beings of pure magic. These Fae range from their realms equivalent of wild beasts to sapient people, though all possess otherworldly abilities and minds. Additionally, some of the inhabitants are said to have been mortals who remained within the Fae Realm long enough to become altered by the realms wild magics.
