Pregnant from Nina

Heiassa,   Good news! I'm pregnant! Torrick is beyond excited. I didn't want to say anything until it was far enough along to be sure but I'm almost three months in, our little one should be born in late spring. My magic tells me we'll soon have a daughter!   Torrick and I have been talking about names and I'm trying to balance Dwarven and Human customs. Dwarves often select the name of a hero for their children but in my family, names are frequently selected from previous generations of family members and people who did great things for our family. I'm named after my great aunt who protected my grandmother when they were both young girls crossing the sea.   I suggested to Torrick that there is a hero who has done great things for our family which fills both traditions - that hero is you. I don't want to make our daughter Heiassa, as beautiful as it is, because there's only one of you ever. But I was thinking that when you first came to Whitewater, you called yourself Morning. You were always up early and you helped us get started. You helped both Torrick and I to wake up from the nightmares we were trapped in and we needed that.   Now you’re Dusk Fae though. Now you're not a sunrise dispelling nightmares but a sunset offering dreams of a better future. A future we wouldn't have had without you. Even when you're far away, you watch over us while we dream and rush to protect us when we need it. You give us the peace to rest.   Twilight is both Dawn and Dusk. The moment of change that brings comfort, challenge, rest and renewal. It's not your name, but it comes from you and what you've done for us and we'd be honored if you'd give your blessing to use it.   We miss you. I hope you get to see our little one soon but I know you carry a tremendous weight. You know we're always happy to help with the load. Give my love and Torrick's to the others.   Nina
