You tell me these things with an excitement that tells me that you’re fine, despite how harrowing your adventures sound. I’m proud of you - keeping a calm head under pressure and solving one piece at a time is no easy feat.
The Empress is clearly moving in mysterious ways, though I wish she wouldn’t. Centuries of being part of a family and head of my own house has taught me so much about telling others what they need to know to feel safe and secure. The Empress hasn’t had such a luxury, and so it is no wonder that these things haven’t been explained to you or the rest of my family. Please - share this with members of our family who will be comforted by the knowledge, but no one else. I trust the Empress to decide how to decide who else needs to know, but I am the head of this particular family.
I met with the Empress in Deldrin and swore new oaths of my own - to guide the Empire alongside her and protect it from any who might threaten its people.
Liliales has been crowned as a prince of the Empire, and Ausha is the heart name that former-Kaide has taken for herself, like elves do when they come to know their own heart. ‘Family’ seems as appropriate a label as any for the threads that tie all of us together.
