Demon Attacks from Kaide

I want to write of many things but one thing stands above others. With the establishment of the Outlands, I’ve let it be known across the Empire what the risks are when fleeing across the Barrier, but also where they should head to find safety and to reunite. This should have been good news, a boon of sorts, even if it’s grim comfort in the face of tragedy.
Something has changed. When our people approach the mountains, they report being met by raiding parties and other small bands of soldiers. Based on the widely varied racial characteristics reported, I feel certain that these are Demons, an ancient and abandoned race known to have once lived in the mountains. I’m worried that they may be active on your side of the barrier as well. If the Demons have decided to descend from the mountains, any of your territory that borders the mountains is at risk of demon attack.
I’m sending Onyx to Dreamfall shortly along with a few resources. You should remember Nokkin from school - The court here has been reluctant to accept him as the first Carthian Dread Lord, however, should you find him and his inner family worthy, I’m sure the court of kings you’ve assembled will have no issues based on things as silly as his lack of remaining years. A century is not a short amount of time after all. Pay extra attention to his apprentice Moonflower, she accomplishes things with Carthian magic that had previously been thought impossible and she seems to be able to accomplish blending of Elven and Carthian magic traditions - I’m interested to see how she’ll do with Fae, Humans and Dwarves.
When Onyx is ready to return, I’d be delighted by any of my kin that you’re able to send. I also hope that you’re able to succeed with Black Tourmaline - she fought bitterly so that many elves could escape a city that was doomed to fall. That she also saved those Osyr who couldn’t flee and protects them to this day is service no ruler can command. I owe her more than gratitude, please tell her that when she awakens.
