Oplus
Oplus is a smaller country on the Disputed Continent. It lies east of the Suneen Desert and the Sunway Tops mountain ranges, north-east of the dreaded Traitor's Bay, south of Ewhil and the Chilants Peaks, north of Nox Adror and its Gallanming Volcano, and it is west across the Lashkra Sea from Thaul Blana. Oplus has many smaller settlements, a few middle sized cities, and it's capital Stormbreach Oplus' center of trade and rule. There is a fortress Lion's Gate in between the two mountain ranges where a decent sized military force protects the Ewhil border.
The majority of Oplus' western and southern borders are made up of Lashkra Sea coastline. They are occasionally hit with hurricanes and tropical storms, being so close to the equator. The weather is often hot yet bearable due to the cool winds from the north and north-east during the winter. During the summer the sea breezes from the south make things very humid, but cool enough.
The major source of food is the Lashkra Sea. Seafood is the most common diet of the Oplunians. There are farmsteads across the land, but mostly seasonal crops. They import the majority of other foods from Ewhil. Spices from Groestiein Skya have a very high demand and quite a high tax. Much of the crime is based around smuggling goods into the markets by either crossing through a desert mountain pass or by boat from the sea.
Oplus has one of the most powerful naval forces in the world and this allows Oplus to exist despite the relatively small size of the country on this continent. They also spend a majority of their time warring with the pirates and slavers from Traitor's Bay. Groestiein Skya lacks a centralized government and the free people's of that country's southern shore openly combat the Oplus forces for interfering in their way of life. Oplus is also combats the orcs of Nox Adror when they end up on the opposite sides of a conflict, otherwise the two countries tolerate one another.
