The Bloodborn

The Crimson Arts birthed the practice and culture of the Bloodborn, mortals born through sanguimantic magics, created to bring justice to the non-reproductive reality of homosexual couples. The complete, in-depth process is an imperial secret, but several steps are public information.

The prospecting parents donate their biological material, most commonly the blood, and it is used to create a flesh cocoon within an ideal, enclosed environment that will grow a fetus that, over a nine month-period of consistent blood donations, will grow into an infant. The baby will then be delivered to the parents.

The Bloodborn are capable of having children of their own with a non-Bloodborn individual.
