This is a phenomenon in the Empire concerning the elevation in an animals intellectual capabilities.
This is widely believed to originate due to leaks in local ley lines which seeps into and influences animal bodies and minds. Initially, these intelligent animals were believed to be a new type of Thal, but differences in arcana between the two occurrences disproved the theory.
