Imperial Calendar

The official calendar of the Empire.   The Calendarium was put in place in the beginning of humanity’s rise to dominance, even through years of editing and customization to whoever held power at the time. But who created the latest iteration? Why, a simple Cartographer. A chain of events occurred that inspired him to change the Calendarium in order to honor some of the greatest and most influential individuals and acts of the previous eras, and to keep the memory of the most important events from that time intact, to be a lesson for future generations.

Example: “New 9.9.20: RTP 20th - 7th of Months Julius - 1st Week - Mournday”

New = The new standard since the rework of the Calendarium at the beginning of the Age of Blazing Strife   9.9.20 = Thousands.Hundreds.Tens   RTP/Road to Peace = The Time Period   20th = The Number of Years into the Time Period   7th of Months = The number of Months passed in the current Year   Julius = 7th month of the 12 months of the year   1st Week = The number of weeks passed in the month   Mournday = First Day in the Week

Days of the Week: Cause of the Names

Mournday

It was on this day that the Imperial Princess Yaylin the Kindhearted was killed. The Empire was in mourning, and any and all conflict between kingdoms were put at hold. Some, fortunately, for good. That was the person Yaylin was, to influence such compassion even after her passing.

Toosday

It was on this day that the government workers protested outside the Imperial Palace in the thousands, standing against the corruption of higher officials, crying out that if their officials were given such extraordinary pay, “we should too!”. They didn’t, but things got significantly better for the working class. A great precursor step in the right direction.

Wensday

It was on this day Lucky Wen the Explorer finally completed his voyage of sailing around the world, a journey that took three years across what he would later name the Wenway. He came across monsters, gods, adventure, fortune and misfortune in equal amounts, etc.

Tûrsday

It was on this day that Tûr finished his Journey of Might, facing off against the Dark Reign god Leviatanesura with the help of the Cileans, and preventing the Dark God’s ascent into our world.

Freeday

It was on this day that slavery was abolished from the last practicing human kingdom, after years of conflict for this goal, through violence, peaceful protest and politics.

Saturn’s Day

It was on this day that High Priestess Saturn sacrificed her life to stop an invasion by three Demon Regents of the Abyss. Possessed by Speestra, the Quickster God of Motion, she single-handedly defeated the Princes and their minions, before pushing them back through their gate and closing it from the other side, unfortunately trapping the priestess there to whatever fate the Princes would punish Speestra’s Chosen with. Also known as the Three Demon Regents Alliance Invasion.

Sunday

It was on this day… that the sun shone really bright. Enough to burn forests and vaporize oceans. The cause remains a mystery, but intervention from the Imperial Crown Children of the Emperor, the Shining Three, calmed the sun down and restored the temperature of Sor Rusk to normal. Considered a fairytale by many, but know as fact by the Cartographer.
