Crescent Dinos

One of the species of Taeingarnor.   The Dinos, the humanoid dinosaurs of the Crescent Peninsula, make up a true hunter-gatherer society, unconcerned with the advances of the majitek of the Empire. They are a very respectful and food-based culture that worships their pantheon and hunt with or prey upon the wildlife of the jungles they claim as their home.   The word Dino is a simplification of the word that describes their own species in their language, which is Dranataurus.   Article Content

Currency

The Dinos do not use currency, utilizing trade of goods instead.

Food

Food is taken on a first come, first serve basis, though the various city states endeavor to always produce a surplus, in case their people are a bit more hungry some days.   Fruit is standard as it grows everywhere, and meat is a valued commodity that independent hunting parties willingly risk their lives to acquire. It is often used for trade.

Traditions

Big beast bones are seen as trophies, and are divvied out based on contribution in the hunt, which is often discussed beforehand or, if a separate party joins the hunt after it has started and their contribution directly saved the lives of the original party, a respectful discussion is had as to the new state of divvying up the spoils.

International Relations

The Cirelean Sea

Long before the pre-Empire human nations discovered the Dinos, they had already established a favorable alliance through military aid and trade between land and sea.

The Sunlight Empire

While many of the pre-Empire human nations established individual relations with the Dinos, the Sunlight Empire coalesced these dealings into a singular alliance with the junglefolk.
