Founding

A Long, Dormant Past

Said to be created 200 years prior to the Darian Interwars, the Ivory Dove is a restricted brotherhood of cartographers, rich hobbyists and magicians which mainly deals with geopolitical and geographic anomalies. The group is believed to have been created to track and kill high profile commanders and others, but fell into obscurity and insignificance several years after the eurption of the first Darian Interwar.

Reformation

The group was reformed by Salem ekk Mekalesini and no longer took part in assassinations, but rather dealt more with discovering the unexplored, be it landmarks or islands. The group's affiliations were changed and now receives funding exclusively from several wealthy, obscure men,. Beginning with 6 members, often called "Doves", after the reformation, the brotherhood currently has 9 members, most of whom are cartographers and magicians with a very particular set of skills.

Current Activities & Events

The Tabula Papers

Up until now, the Ivory Dove was mostly occupied with "geo-magical" irregularities, regions and other places where the laws of Magic seem to be weakened or perhaps completely lost. However, following the discovery of the Tabula papers by Exirum, the focus of the group turned to interpreting Phylae's journal and uncovering the mysteries behind it. To avoid suspicion by the politically-active sponsors, several normal activities were not postponed.

A Scoundrel in the nest

Word had gone round, for the very first time in the Ivory Dove's history, a traitor had made themselves a home among the doves. According to Cal, the traitor, who is still in the brotherhood by keeping up a facade, had sold a copy of the Tabula papers to the Oxus. Moreover, Cal states that despite the traitor's efforts, the copy is most likely reaching the Oxus in a few months at best.

Hierarchy

A Headless spider

While it's true that the Ivory Dove has a leader a leader at its apex, none of the members know the identity or the whereabouts of their leader. With that said, the leader still issues commands using notes and, strangely, mirrors. The Ivory Dove's leader goes by the alias “Cal”. Putting aside Cal, the rest of the hierarchy is much flatter.
