The Big Timeline

When the Racanyac began to use bronze and make better weapons and tools. This was discovered by several alchemists who were experimenting near Cat´cirak. The Hive's written history began not very long after.

With a slow advancement up the mountains they encountered little resistance from the natives, and the armies eventually had to retreat due to lack of food and due to the fact that the Racanyac and the Sesken couldn't breath in the low oxygen air at the tops of the mountains.

The armies left the deserts with less than what they came with. Another failure to expand the boundaries of The Hive.

By this time the the large networks of underground tunnels that are protected from the elements and most predators. The largest/most traveled tunnels are guarded by the army. In the tunnels, carts on wheels allow for fast travel.

Development of a mint in the Capital, Kic´tiric, a standardized currency was put in place. The currency was composed of platinum, gold, silver, and copper coins.

The Northern Vo-ren have been congregating in large groups and building 4 towns, Lakeshore, Aldereen, Aeston, and the largest, Malacatia. Malacatia was constructed near one of the largest nirite deposits in all of Taarö. They had been separated from the rest of the Vo-ren for many years which caused distinct cultural differences.

The emissaries returned, and the Northern Vo-ren didn’t want to join the empire. Nath was angered by their not accepting his offer, so he immediately halted all trade to the Northern Loch Woods and declared them enemies to the peace and branded them with the title of Human, to separate them from the Vo-ren. Nath began building an army to conquer the northern woods and “restore the peace”. The man who began the building projects, Vrek Aeston, nominated himself to be the king, and his rule was generally accepted due to the imminent threat.

The official end of Nath’s conquest and a peace treaty was enacted between the Vo-ren and the humans.

Several years into Espiridon’s rule he was found dead one morning. Yet again the word Nath was written upon the wall. The next day a young woman, no older than 12, stood before the statue of Nath, in Nathius, and declared herself queen because she was Nath reincarnated. She began to use a power that no others besides the Titans of legend could use, magic. Her name was Ester, she claimed to have executed Espiridon as he committed treason by taking the throne that she deserved. Many people believed what she said, as they believed that only Nath could be able to perform such wondrous things. As with many stories similar to this one, they created a religion out of it, Nathicism.

The mining colony that remained there did not last long, because very soon after Iron Working was developed, that colony became a small city. For the next several hundred years, Cat'kirit would remain at the forefront of scientific advancement.

Gald takes power back from Ester and sets up a democracy (which they called the Galdic Republic), Ester didn’t stop them, and didn’t even send any formal response. Due to this lack of response, the rest of the empire treated Esterius and all of the land to the west as a separate nation, and didn’t provide any assistance or supplies to the struggling people.

The Shal’turak were upset and wanted to kill the evil creatures that threatened them, and their king taught a select few of the Shal´turak from the tribes, and a few of the Turak, how to use magic. Being called Shamans and the Eldritch Stratum, respectively.

As the Galdic forces began their assault upon the city of Ester, what remained of her forces began to lose hope and desert her. What few citizens lived in the city hid within the castle’s walls to save themselves from the relentless assault of the Galdic army. Ester knowing that their attack would be futile from the start, just waited for the intruders to defeat her army and then waited for the Galds to march on the palace in the center of the city. As the army approached she exited and proceeded to devastate the army letting them retreat and as they retreated the city crumbled and Ester fled, perhaps she over extended her power, perhaps she wanted the soldiers to think she was defeated, in the end, no one truly knows.

A large university called Cat’cirak University was constructed for the specialists within the city, and many more outside the city travel there to learn more about the subjects of their choice, be it physics, engineering, “worldly studies”, or leadership skills for administration. Only females were allowed to take the administration courses.

Hivendell Tunnels going under the Dov Highlands make contact with Galdic towns and emissaries begin learning of each others languages and cultural practices.

Queen Tiric offered the Ran-tell a deal, they may travel and trade throughout all of the Hive including the Great Road, in exchange all of the Ran-tell must declare the Queen their sovereign. They agreed.

The chaos of losing their rulers lead what was once the great Nathic Empire into anarchy.

A revolution began in Malacatia, citizens on the east and west side of the empire began to fight with each other for control. All the while the colony in The Gilded Grove, declared their independence from the empire. After this the west side of the empire became known as the Senecan Empire.
