Joan Character in T'sara | World Anvil

Joan

a member of the Drow diaspora and a consumate rogue, Joan has lead a curious life as a loner, often leaving a wake of instability as she goes.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Joan is cagey about her past, typically deflecting by asking others to share their history.

From what is clear, is that Joan has no knowledge of or association with her kind below ground, but she's also not a member of The Absolved, nor is she friendly with the elves.
For that matter, she seems to have a chip on her shoulders for authority in general. Whatever may have caused that, she'll never say.

Sexuality

Joan has a very open sexuality. She does not respect the boundaries of monogamous relationships and has seduced multiple men known to be in comitted relationships with others.

Education

Lacking anything approaching an academic mind, Joan is well versed in surviving out in the wilderness, and the various forms of skullduggery used by the criminal underworld; lockpicking, slight of hand, stalking, and the like. She also seems to be well travelled, being familiar with a large number of the ins and outs of the local kingdoms,

Morality & Philosophy

Joan is driven by self preservation and the benefit of self. Altruism is a foreign concept to her; nothing is done without a way she can gain or profit from the endeavor. She is also not above being duplicitious or evasive if it works in her favor, which is often. She isn't so petty as to engage in petty purse snatching or the like, but she's a shrewd negotiator and always works to have the upper hand in any interaction with someone.

Joan has a deep animosity for heirarchical authority structures, including but not limitted to nobility and the seats of government. If there's any way one could possibly get Joan to surrender her self-centeredness for a cause, it would be if it meant doing something helped damage the state or social order in some way.
