Mahfuras (maa-fur-ass)
Capital city on Vara's most populated continent, Mahfuras was originally the first village the Varish called home. Having been developed over the course of millenia, Mahfuras is now a spralling gigacity.
Mafuras is lauded as the centre of scientific breakthrough and technological progress on Vara. The city boasts unlimited clean energy, a relatively low crime rate for its size, and extremely low mortality rate caused by illness or disease.

Demographics
The vast majority of the population in Mafuras is Varish. However, due to the various treaties, accords and touristic opportunities; very small pockets of Xix, humans, and displaced or escapee Bi-ons reside in Mafuras.
Industry & Trade
While the majority of scientific research and development takes place within the city, the technology created is often taken to other connected cities to be manufactured in larger-scale operations.
In the case of Morphic Antimatter, production, storage, and usage sites aren't within city limits to avoid catastrophic annihilation should containment fail or accidents occur. Though there are failsafes to prevent this occurrence, there are entire additional industries built around averting disaster. While standard antimatter can be traded with foreign species, and freely traded with the relevant industries on-world; Morphic Antimatter is used purely to power all settlements on Vara. This is strictly controlled.

As befits the most technologically advanced capital of the most technologically advanced species in the Jasturian Stars, Mafuras is a marvel of city living. Hyper-connected by mag-tunnels, lightcomm communications arrays, it is impossible to not get to where you're going; or miss out on the news about the latest technological advancement in textile production, metal synthesis or communication speed increase.
