Volcanic Storm

Effect

When this spell is first cast, chunks of hot volcanic rock and clumps of ash pound down within a 20-foot-tall cylinder with a 40-foot radius centered on a point you choose within range, causing all creatures within the area at time of casting to suffer 1d10 points of Bludgeoning damage and 5d6 points of Fire damage, a successful Constitution saving throw halves this damage.   Until the spell ends, heavy ash rains down within the area. The area is heavily obscured, the fire spreads around corners, and it ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried. The ground in the area is covered with thick ash, making it difficult terrain.   At the end of the duration, the rock and ash disappear, leaving no remnants of ash behind.   At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the Fire damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 4th. Additionally at 6th level level and again at 8th level, the Bludgeoning damage is increased by 1d10 points of damage.
