Necrotic Grasp

Effect

You raise up from the ground the bones of the long dead, these hands begin to grasp and tear at those within their reach, ripping at their flesh and draining their life force. These hands cover a 20-foot radius area of ground with a point of origin that you can see and is in range. The area becomes difficult terrain. When the spell ends, the bones shrink back beneath the earth.   The touch of these grasping hands siphons the life force from others to heal your wounds and holds those within the area. Upon the initial casting of this spell and whenever a creature would end their turn in the area of this spell, they must make a Strength saving throw, failure means the target suffers 2d6 points of Necrotic damage and are Restrained by the grasping hands, success means they suffer only half of this damage and are not Restrained. Whenever a creature suffers damage from this spell, you regain Hit Points equal to the minimum amount of Necrotic damage that this spell can deal for its level.   At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 4th.
