Thanks to extensive practice with the crossbow, you gain the following benefits

• You ignore the loading property of crossbows with which you are proficient.
• Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls made with crossbows.
• When you use the Attack action and attack with a one-handed weapon, you can use a bonus action to attack with a hand crossbow you are holding.
• When you use the Attack action and attack with a two-handed crossbow, you can choose to focus your shot as a bonus action. If you do so, you critical threat range is increased by one; eg. a 20 becomes a 19 or higher to critically hit, and if you do critically hit you deal an additional two dice worth of damage.
