Effect

You raise your hands, and perform dark arcane gestures while speaking words in Necril. Sending the magical energies gathered towards a single corpse within range that begins to bubble and rumble before letting out a low roar and finally exploding in a shower of blood and gore. Each creature in a 15-foot-radius sphere centered on that corpse's space must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 4d8 points of Necrotic damage on a failed save and is showered in gore for 1 minute; a creature that makes their save suffers half as much damage and is not showered in gore. The explosion spreads around corners. This spell deals three less dice when using a Tiny creature's corpse.   A creature that starts their turn showered in gore suffers 1d6 points of Necrotic damage and receives a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC to end this effect early.   At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the base explosion damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.   Material Component: Corpse of tiny or larger creature; a corpse used in this manner is mangled beyond recognition, it is no longer a viable target for the purpose of the Revivify or Raise Dead spell; however, higher level resurrection magic still function normally on the target.
