Thekku
Fate, Honor, Sun - Any - Reptilian
The Golden Scale, The Chrysanths fist, The Ochre Star. Many titles were given to the revered founder and Patriarch of the Solar scale sect. Born under the name Hui-Tay-Bright-Amber-Qun later known under the Courtesy name, Thekku, came from humble beginnings.
Thekku was a native of ancient Yokugan. His mother, a humble Lizardfolk huntress, was seduced by a wandering nobleman of an affluent clan, who abandoned her upon learning of her pregnancy. Thekku grew up as an outcast, scorned not only by his bastard lineage, but by his obscene appearance. His scales, a shimmering gold unlike the dull greens and browns of his kin, marked him as a constant outsider. But what he did not know, that as he was seen as a golden obscenity, the heavens had marked him for greatness.
From a young age, Thekku displayed extraordinary strength and cunning. He trained in secret, mimicking the martial arts of wandering monks and warriors who passed through his village. His mother, though bitter, instilled in him a sense of honor and resilience, teaching him to embrace his dual heritage rather than be shamed by it.
When his village was invaded by a Jigoku sect, one of the many schools of damned arts seeking to usurp the authority of the clans, Thekku rose to prominence. Armed with nothing but his golden fists and his indomitable will, he rallied the scattered tribesmen and fellow Yokugani to lead liberation against the invaders. His golden scales gleamed like the sun on the battlefield, earning him the title "Golden Scale".
Thekku's deeds grew legendary and became folk stories shared amongst the downtrodden. From the duel of the Death Lotus spider, the mass killer who plagued the capital in terror, The recovery of the “Natsu-shosa” the Summer’s dance. one of the lost Tenka-Hachiken, Eight blessed blades under heaven said to have belonged to Susumu. To the legendary stand against the ō-oni king, where he stood against the siege of Takanobe and held the gate for 12 days and 12 nights against the onslaught of Oni. It was said that upon his demise, his mortal coil finally shed, he was free to return to the heavens to the graces of Shizuru.
