Rêve, pronounced as “Reh-vuh”, is the God/Goddess that coaxes the selfish and the self-seekers. As the world burned during the age of Omens, some prayed for salvation, others for succour but others…simply faltered. They saw the depravity of others and the breaking of the world as their breaking point and chose to put their own interest above others. As they no longer believed, they formed a subconscious gestalt of apathy, and thus, Rêve came to being. Sleeping, ephemeral but their dreams seethed to those who would listen. It begins as an itch at the back of one’s mind, to a murmur that makes one question and to finally a revelation of ascertaining truth. “There is no purpose in the pursuit of an goal.”
“We assign tangible value on a whim.”
“What is considered true or false is by one’s fancy”
“We judge what is good and what is bad by the foible of the conceited.”
“In such a fictitious world, how can one truly live in the insanity of it all?”
And the whisper delighted in the revelation.
“If nothing can be true, then you must fashion your truth from the mountain of platitudes. Only then can our slumbering divinity enjoy their dream.”
And thus through the faith of the heedless and the foolhardy, does Rêve bless their nature. Providing direction and impetus for them to enjoy this dream to the fullest.

Symbols Of Rêve

Rêve’s holy symbol is a tesseract cube. They favour owls and view the great owl as sacred.

History

Dogma

Followers of Rêve are paradoxical. They are fanciful yet scrupulous, Jovial yet stoic, Kindhearted but also Ruthless. To dedicate yourself to Rêve is to simply exist and live free is to prove her existence and continue their dream. “What would make Rêve happy?” is the question often asked by their followers. Some would find the answer in culling the weak, boring people out of the dream, Others may try to enrich or better the lives of the downtrodden to bring the spice of life. It is inexplicable to have them justify their actions and motivations as they perceive the action to be more relevant than the causative effect.

Home Plane

As part of the gestalt subconscious of their followers belief in themselves, Rêve resides within the Ethereal plane, every asleep, but subconsciously listening to the whims of their followers

Appearance

Rêve is depicted as an androgynous long haired individual in an ebony smock dress, their eyes always closed. Their hair is constantly billowing, or in motion, as if to ensure you could never get a proper look at them, As any time you were to look upon their visage, you can recall the detail but the words never come to you to describe them.

Relationships

Rêve has no issues with any other deity since in their mind, they are all just part of the dream and why should a dream bother the dreamer?

Temples And Shrines

Rêve does not have any grandiose or large temples of worship, worshippers often keep a small shrine at their abode or would confer and congregate together in small groups such as taverns, alleys, houses, places of gathering and argue on the direction of which to go to fulfil Rêve’s lucid dream.

Followers

Followers of Rêve are conventionally the downtrodden or the apathetic, those who are down on their luck and have found solace in the insanity of their predicament. Priests of Rêve often are nomadic and would travel from place to place to offer advice and comfort, they do not try to convert but simply provide input through their actions.

• To disregard the world is to not care about the dream for it must be preserved
• Regardless of the path that you take, be affirmative in your actions
• Be truthful and honest. There is no point in deceiving the world any further
• Enjoy the dream to the fullest of what you believe is the best
