Eotan - The Bard - NG
Battle, Music, War
It is said when the first drum was rung and the first string was plucked that Eotan was given form, birthed from the music, hopes, and dreams of those in search of something more. Though still quite young, Eotan's touch upon mortal was great, as he begun to inspire the masses, furthering their great works of art and culture. With but a twist of the wrist here, a shifting of a foot there, Eotan favored many musicians, artists, sculptors, and more, and from these inspirations, his cult began to take root. Those mortals that heeded his inspired creations, soon flocked to the entity, praising him, and offering gifts of coin, food, artistic pieces, and yet more, but as the gifts continued to flow, some began to twist their requests, instead offering blood, and soon, their very souls to Eotan. As these new gifts began to flow into this being, his will, his very designs too shifted; altered forever, as the once peaceful sonnets, poems, and dances of love and hope, were twisted into that of a darker nature, aggressive songs that drove his followers into a mad frenzy that drove them to greatness on the fields of battle, surging like the ocean's tide, this new cult flowed throughout the lands, giving the first believers their purpose.
His will would not last. Eotan's cult faded during the great wars that followed this shifting tide of his faith. Nearly drained into oblivion, Eotan awoke as less than living, a being of the stars, floating through the void of the sea until at long last, the Spheres of Creation collided, forming the Age of Omens, that the need for heroes, for song, and for battle arose once more. Though this time, Eotan would not return so weak, this time, he would rise as the thrumming beats of the divine drums themselves, through the faithful that pleaded for respite, for inspiration, and for hope in their trying times, Eotan was truly born, not as an eldritch entity, no, but as a full-blooded divine, and it is through his songs, that his faithful remain hopeful for the future once thought lost.
