Squill (s) (Tropic)
A weasel-like mammalian species, unique for their number of limbs and cartilaginous extremities. The Tropic species tends towards earthy tones, the rare luminescent glands, and cone shaped spines along their spines.
They are built strong and endurant, able to pull and carry things around, building materials, luggage, and all manner of things.
Well adjusted to warmer weather, humidity and wetter climates, there are whole untouched communities is the wild jungles, they are also commonly seen on docks around the world coasts.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Average Tropic Squill:
2 pairs of forelimbs, and 1 pair of hind-legs
12+ Cone shapes spines of various sizes that trial down the spine and reaching out near the ribs
5-6 toes per foot-pad
Long puffy tail with a black tip
Coloration: Light browns to darker reds and grays, occasional fading and color patterns, though usually found in hybrids
weasel/ferret like face, narrow snout and small circular ears, long neck
longer legs than the Arctic variety
Genetics and Reproduction
They are rear-facing pouch Marsupials, (similar to quolls and Tasmanian devils). Females have pouches that can hold up to 4 joeys at a time.

Dietary Needs and Habits
Largely vegetarian/herbivore, they find berries and tree fruits the easiest meals. Farming is also a popular way to grow food.

During the colder seasons/ wet seasons in the appropriate area, a warmer/waterproof coat forms, and once the season changes they tend to shed, not greatly, but definitely a seasonal grooming time.

Mostly used as workers, performing the heavy labor, which they have been exploited for. One part of history was during ______ where there was a massive slave trade taking tropic squills to _____ to work on plantations/ organizations, (think American slave trade)
With eventual equal rights coming into play they gained freedoms in the places they had been discriminated in, allowing them greater work opportunists around the globe.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
A stronger sense of smell than other greater species/races. The few that can produce bio luminescence can use it to communicate in the dark.
