Canin (Tropic)

A long legged canine-like creature with 2 sets of ears, the forward set often 3 times larger than the back pair. They have a natural defense in an armor of metallic plates running from the bridge of the nose to the base of their spines. These plates span about a third of their backs. Their tails are also extremely long. Their spines are inspired on that of the Hero shrew.

Anatomy

4 long legs where the Canin places weight on the toes. extremely long tail that is the length of its body. Metallic plates grow from their spinal vertebrae out through their skin to cover most of their backs, running from their noses to their lumbar. They also grow these plates on their forearms, thighs, and heels. 2 sets of ears, the front pair standing high and 3 times larger than the small pair just behind them. Long pointed snout in a very canine face.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Tropic Canin has excellent hearing and can pick up slight disturbances in the air or water around them. With their secondary ears they can pick up a wide range of frequencies that many other species cannot read.
