Anthony "Onyx" Riveign (An -Thuh - Nee Ri - Vayn)

Anthony Riveign, or Onyx as his friends called him, was the founder and CEO of the Pioneer Corp, an interstellar ship manufacturer, as well as being an Engineer and creating cybernetic implants in his spare time. He would personally fund the construction of the first Key Gate Ark which would lead to him being appointed as its captain upon the completion of the ship. He is often credited with being the first to explore a large swath of the charter that would later be named after him. He would also go on to become a war hero in the Riveign war for Independence against the United Nations of Earth Directorate, leading a desperate boarding action of the Riveign Key Gate and successfully taking control over it. Once the war was over, he would try to retire to a countryside villa on Hovath but the country that he helped create would see fit for him to be its leader, making him the first ever elected Prime Minister of the Republic of Riveign.
He was born to a poor gamily in the metropolitan city of Baltimore which was located in the state of Maryland in the then United States of America. His father was a banker for a small Credit union while his mother worked as an administrator for an colonial company that had been working on terraforming and colonizing mars. Early in life, he was caught in a hit and run accident where he would later lose later lose his arm in the hospital. While in the hospital, he would often look up at the stars and watch the various ships coming and going from the Meade Ship Yards, watching them as they became small specs leaving the atmosphere. After that point, he would dedicate himself to improving his families lot in life, later succeeding in gaining a full ride scholarship to a school known as Princeton University. It was during this however, that he would discover a love for Cybernetic Implants. He would spend entire days working on and studying about implants before dropping out of Princeton and seeking an apprenticeship with a Cybernetic Engineer who went by the name of Kole Jackson. With Jacksons help, he would invent the first Cybernetic Arm that could hook to the users mind with full synchronicity. He would patent this invention and later found a company called Onyx Cyberware, after the nickname he had been given due to the color of his new arm. 
Later in life, he would visit the National Air and Space Museum on a spur of the moment trip where he would rediscover his love and passion for space exploration. He would then Resign from his post as CEO of Onyx and would found a Interstellar Ship Manufacturer that he would name the Pioneer Corp. With this company, he would go on to design several exploratory ships and made several attempts at FTL travel but every attempt he made would fail. He almost gave up when the first Soul Engine discovered. A mysterious organization known as the The Luminar Foundation would find a blueprint from the mysterious contraption that supposedly unlocked FTL travel. His company would put in a bid for it at a whopping 1.7 trillion dollars that would result in him winning the contract. Along with the Blueprint came several coordinates located in unknown parts of the Milky way Galaxy. From this point on, he would spear head the construction of the Key Gate Arks, massive ships that were meant to go to these locations and be used to set up the theoretical Key Gate Network. After the first ship was constructed, he resigned from his post as CEO of the Pioneer Corp and became the first of the Arks captains, setting up with the brave souls that volunteered for the deadly mission with a smile and a hope.

Personal Life

In Anthony's personal life, he was often described as a man of eccentricity. In his later life, he would often wear bright colorful suits and was often described as a bit of a peacock, with his favorite suit being that of a bright pink jacket over a white shirt. He would often say that he lived by a Philosophy of always enjoying life to the fullest because who else would enjoy his life for him? He spared no expense on the things he loved and often impulsively bought many of the things he wished he had had as a child.
He was married to Elianna Riveign, who would join him on his expedition into the stars. They had no kids between them, choosing to adopt as many cats as they could and building them their own mansion. His friends would say that he was the life of the room, having the ability to make anyone laugh under most circumstances. But he was also known to be a deeply empathetic man, finding time to help even the lowest of his employees or the homeless on the street. He volunteered as much as his life would allow, serving in soup kitchens in the city of Baltimore and New York.
In his personal life, he was also extremely dedicated to education, even though he dropped out of college himself. He would often tell others that if their passion was to learn and help humanity, education was one avenue of doing it. He espoused that Knowledge was a cornerstone to human Society and maintained that without, we would be nothing but animals. He would work closely with education centers to set up scholarships and grants for those who had an interest in furthering humanity or helping it in some way.
His love for Adventure would never be satiated as later on in life, he would often lead expeditions into the vast unknown of the Riveign Charter. Discovering oddities and treasure alike. His men would often describe him as brave and stupid as he would charge boldly into the unknown, showing every ounce of fear on his face, but being sure in himself and his colleagues would get through it because they were that good. He was sometimes a simple man.

Legacy

The companies he founded would go on to become huge players in the Directorate system, with the Pioneer Corp being the lead designer and manufacture of Naval assets for the Directorate Space Force. His other Corporation, Onyx Cyberware would also go on to become a huge player in the field of cybernetic implants before it would be bought out and organized under a conglomerate called Vicom International. Even then, Riveign's designs would still play a key role in all of Vicom's later iterations of Cybernetic Arms and ear pieces.
As for his legacy of Exploration, Anthony Riveign would go on to discover over 100 different planets in 30 different star systems, setting a record of being the first to explore such a vast amount of territory. He would also help set up over 30 colonies which would bring the Riveign Charter and the later Republic of Riveign and untold amount of resources, allowing the country to remain independent from the United Nations of Earth Directorate and still be viable for trading from Directorate Companies. His legacy would also help contribute to the size of the Riveign Navy, as it had enough assets to rival that of the Directorate Space Force.
