Minotaurs
While not as common as Humans, Elves, and Dwarves, Minotaurs have long lived in many communities around the world. Most have histories and mythologies that trace their lineage back to the Eastern Isles, where the first Minotaur community built their boats in the early days of the world. It's a stereotype to say that all minotaurs have an affinity for water, but you will find no shortage of them waylaying at ports between voyages. They were created by Pano, God of Storms and the sailors have a vested interest in his machinations of weather.
These disparate people have many appearances. Fur tends to be of a neutral color, ranging between between blonde, brown, and black. Particularly within the Eastern Isles, fur tends to lighten with exposure to sunlight. Other populations show no changes with the sun, remaining jet black despite living along rivers that run through hot savannas. Auburn and red can also be found, although it is rare. Fur length varies with climate, providing more insulation to the hardy minotaurs of the north. Horn shape varies wildly, with some cultures going as far as putting adolescents in specially-designed head gear to encourage particular contours.
