Armil Tuvaras
Armil Tuvaras (a.k.a. The Studied)
From a young age, Armil liked explosions. His father Nesdon was a pioneer in pyrotechnics, serving as the first (and only) blast technician in Shatterrock Mine, formerly the largest mining operation in the Goldspine Mountains. The position was terminated, with his father, after a mining accident caused a cave-in. The mine was later purchased by another company, leaving Armil and his mother Lorina displaced. The two traveled around with a trade caravan, Lorina offering her services as an alchemist.
During a particularly vicious bandit attack, Armil was rescued by one of the caravan's mercenaries, a wizard named Elion. Amazed by his use of arcane force, Armil later befriended the mercenary and began to learn the basics of spellcasting. He was a quick study and soon Elion had nothing left to teach the gnome. After he turned 18 and the caravan next passed through Vern, Armil stayed behind and applied to join the Spellweavers' Circle.
Armil swiftly outpaced many of his peers, and his lowborn status drew the ire of many noble-born students. He was cast out of the Circle after an "accident" with some evocation magic leveled his dorm room and left him mostly deaf in his left ear. Returning to his roots as a traveler, Armil joined the Silvergard and made his living as an adventurer, where he met the rest of Manticorp.
After the Mad Gold Dragon Incident, Armil parlayed the newfound fame of Manticorp into a position as an affiliated enchanter with the Spellweavers' Circle. Specializing in evocation enchantments, he prepared staffs, weapons, and particularly destructive wards. However, he tires of the politics that come with the ivory tower, and longs to set out as an adventurer once again.

A gnome with a knack for explosions, Armil Tuvaras has gotten into trouble by casting Fireball first, and asking questions later. He traded his adventurer's cloak for a position in the Spellweaver's Circle. But he hears the call to adventure again.
