In the dystopian socio-political landscape of the Dome, The Curtains serve as an enduring symbol of corporate dominance and oppression.

Their services are heavily utilized by the mega-corporations Shigaraki Corporation and Atlas Corporation for clandestine operations, including the suppression of dissidents, enforcement of corporate contracts, and the containment or retrieval of anomalous entities. Though they are not officially aligned with either corporation, both entities have been documented utilizing The Curtains for off-the-record activities, furthering their agendas through proxy conflicts.
