Originally a private military contractor, ATLAS rose to prominence following its pivotal role in resolving several major geopolitical conflicts in the early 21st century. Their use of cutting-edge technology, advanced weaponry, and tactical supremacy enabled ATLAS to gain significant influence over global military affairs.
By leveraging a combination of technological superiority and strategic manipulation, ATLAS ultimately supplanted traditional governmental powers, taking control of the United States. The Foundation has identified credible evidence that ATLAS has integrated SCP objects into its research and operations, particularly to enhance its military capabilities. This makes the corporation the largest and most immediate threat to the Foundation's mission and global stability.
