Great Dragons
Basic Information
Anatomy
Winged quadrupeds with thick scales as armor, sharp talons and teeth, and strong tails. Their hides and organs decompose rapidly after their death but their bones are known to persist for decades or in some instances centuries
Genetics and Reproduction
Female dragons release eggs while male dragons release sperm, they procreate by combining these elements usually in bodies of water but in the case of red and black dragons they use lava.
Growth Rate & Stages
After hatching dragons typically only stay with their mothers for around 3-4 years until they are capable of hunting on their own. Dragons never stop growing but it's estimated they begin to plateau near 130 years of age.
Ecology and Habitats
Opting for caves and dens, dragons mark their territory with treasure.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Typically, dragons hunt other monsters, as they are intelligent beings they have the same depreciation towards the recklessly evil as most capable species
Behaviour
While they can be tamed wild dragons are normally very hostile towards their prey and other dragons but most dragons can be reasoned or bargained with if you can gain their respect or attention

Domestication
Dragons can be tamed either by imprinting on within the first few years of their life or by simply convincing one to serve you (though this is not reccomended)
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Symbols of power and methods of transportation. After death their hides and bones are quickly harvested to create weapons, armor, and other things.
