Aal

The Aal is the great river that bisects Noravia and provides the nation with an easily navigable trade and transport link. It rises on the eastern slopes of Karag-Finn, and is separated into the Little Aal above Lake Kardun and Aal below.   The river has been used as a transpor route for over eight centuries but with the human expansion into the area, shipping on the Aal has increased significantly. Timber, ore and wool shipments are the most common loads, but almost anything can and will be shipped along the river's clear waters.   The Aal is also noted for its excellent fishing, as well as being a spawning ground for two types of eel.
