Boztrid

The Ahsness use Boztrids as mounts when herding animals on the plains. In addition to their use as mounts when herding, some are bred for racing in both Ahsness and Human cultures.

Boztrids are also used as egg producers.

Anatomy

A boztrid is a flightless avian species with two long, muscular legs, vestigial wings, a skull about the size of a coconut, and long tail feathers.

Boztrids eat grains, leaves, flowers, insects, lizards and rodents.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Body and tail feathers come in a range of brown colors and sometimes white. Light brown and white feathers are the the most valuable as the feathers can be dyed more easily than the dark ones.
