Life Fatigue

Sometimes a person just can't handle their life as it is anymore, without any apparent reason. The range of symptoms this may bring with it has been categorised into a condition called 'Life Fatigue'.

Causes

The causes for this phenomenon is heavily debated, and has varied through time. Nowadays it is thought to be caused by being too much in the now, only seeing your problems and responsibilities without seeing how this will all play out in the future and resolving.

Symptoms

The symptoms for life fatigue are many and can vary widely from person to person. Overall, doctors or other medical professionals tend to diagnose a patient with life fatigue if at least three of the following symptoms are present over a longer period of time, without it being caused by something else:
Psychological symptoms
Quick moodswings, easy to anger and easy to sadness
Feelings of dread or worry
Wanting to leave everything
High spurts of productivity followed by periods of very low productivity
Physical symptoms
High pulse
Sleeplessness
Sleeping too much
Headaches
Stomach problems
Hair loss
There is also a lot more that can be associated with life fatigue, those listed here are simply the most common ones.

Treatment

Treatment for life fatigue is generally prescribed as resting, and spending more time with socialising, hobbies and similar instead of work and house work. In some places, for those who can afford it, it is possible to get help in form of a maid to help ease the load of work on a person.   It is also very common to be advised to go to the coast as a change of scenery and air is seen as helpful.

Cultural Reception

There is a huge difference how life fatigue is seen among people. Some take it very seriously while others see it as the person being pure lazy. It depends a lot on where you are, in Depavata there has been a lot of pushing from medical professionals the last few years to take it more seriously which has led to the local councils in many places stepping in and offering help to those affected.   However, it is also a problem of cost. It is sometimes seen as a 'rich-persons disease' as poorer people generally have less of a chance to treat it and tend to just ignore it, often with dangerous result.
