Fountain of Youth

The fountain of youth is an old conspiracy that was spread mostly by demons and later on by human folk. It is said that the fountain of youth is a mystical fountain located somewhere in a deep forest that spouts liquid gold and gives immortality. Demons believe it is protected by angels, and most are under the impression that it is hidden from sight and that nobody would ever be able to find it.

The belief that a Fountain of Youth exists is true...
Kind of.

A fountain of youth does, in fact, exist. However, it does not grant immortality as the rumors say it does, nor does it even spout liquid gold.
The fountain of youth is more or less a sort of code name for a mystical waterfall used for hiding a portal that some angels used to use to transfer between Heaven and the Human realms. Back when massive conflicts existed between Heaven and Hell, it was heavily operated and guarded by the angels. Nowadays it is mostly unused and forgotten about, although it’s said that a beast still remains in the area and protects the sacred falls, making sure that no demon nor human discovers it.
The fountain of youth was more than likely named the way it was in order to scare the demon race into thinking that the angels had some sort of dangerous and lethal weapon that could end the demon race as they know it. It seems like demons were under the impression that they did in fact have a strong weapon regardless of whether or not scaring the enemy was the angels’ intent. The demons took the rumors of a Fountain of Youth very seriously, as they soon seized fighting against the angelic races and continue to remain somewhat dormant to this day.
