Core Brains

Bio mechanical, swelling flesh and driving lungs. Rhythmic pressure releases from grates driven into nerve clusters. Gray matter folds into itself, power nodes and splintered tissue jutting from flexing cores.  
This is the core brain: the damnable battery brought to the galaxy by the Daughters of Artemis. Initially created by Hester Goodyear in response to a predicted shortage of lithium and copper, the core brain is flesh wound together with machinery to power systems attached to it through thought-direction.
