Heraklion

The capital city of the Empire of Masgard. It was built next to the great lake of Olympus, on a hill overlooking the Tressan desert and the Great Pariah forest.

History

It was founded in 500FA as a fortress during the Henderius Crusade. It blossomed into a small town after a few years. Then within a year the town had doubled the amount of humans living there, as precious minerals were found nearby. And a veritable wellspring of Essence crystals were found growing underneath the town in a large cavernous space. The town became a City state, and was named Heraklion. In the year 505FA an offensive was made against the city state from the great pariah forest. A group of wood elves had become hostile due to the influx of Humans in their forest. After attempts at diplomacy had failed, Inachus Vasilis formed a War council, which became the stepping stone for the birth of an Empire
