Each acolyte is given the choice between three weapons at the beginning of his career; These being the warhammer, the halbard or the great-sword. The warhammer representing the unstoppable force of Oods will which is reinforced by the acolytes. The halbard keeps the darkness at bay, not letting it filth Oods light represented by the acolytes. At last the great-sword, representing the advancement of civilization under the gaze of Ood.

Structure

Each Unit of acolytes is led by four Elders. These Elders have served for at least a decade and proven themselves in an extraordinary way. They each command 200 acolytes into battle, the remaining 200 staying in reserve. They give their orders to their 10 constables, each leading 19 men. If more than one Unit of acolytes fights on a battlefield a Grand Elder and his council is appointed to oversee the entire strategy.

Training

To become an acolyte one does not simply need to be a true believer in Oods light but also manage to survive a year-long training. During this time the aspiring acolytes are sent trough hell and back only to do it again when they arrive. Moulding them into iron willed soldiers with an unbreakable devotion to his cause; to protect and spread the will of Ood.
