Shorefruit

The Shorefruit is the distinctive drupelike fruit of the Shore Palm, averaging 4-7 inches in diameter.

Its outer shell is a tough, deep violet rind so firm it can resist light crushing—only a sharp blade or a firm squeeze will breach it.

Inside lies a cantaloupe-like mesocarp of pale lavender flesh that yields easily to the touch, offering sweet, subtly tangy flavor and satiny texture. The mesocarp fills bellies quickly.

At the core resides a central endocarp: a translucent, blush-pink gel sac that pulses with mild aetheric resonance. Rubbing the gel on an exterior wound has a mild healing effect, while eating it has seemingly no nutritional value.
