Sergeant Hollis
Sergeant Bramwell Hollis (a.k.a. Stone-Fist)
Sergeant Bramwell “Stone-Fist” Hollis
Role & Function
Field-drill sergeant turned survival taskmaster. He positions himself as the camp’s disciplinarian and quartermaster—either a reliable backbone or abrasive rival for PCs who resent orders.
Physical Description
Broad-shouldered human in his early forties, head shorn close to hide streaks of gray. Patchwork leather brigandine hangs over a sweat-stained tunic; bandage wraps one bicep where coral tore flesh during the wreck. Fresh scar bisects his right eyebrow, lending a permanent glower.
Personality — Big Focus
- Relentlessly Practical: measures people in calories hauled and spears swung; loathes wasted motion.
- Gruff Protector: will take a knife for civilians but snarls while doing it.
- Battle-Calm: when chaos spikes, voice drops to a low, deliberate cadence that cuts through panic.
Skills & Abilities
- Martial adept (Battle Master-style maneuvers: Commanding Shout, Trip Attack)
- Proficient with improvised fortifications, field medicine, and motivation by very loud counting.
Voice & Mannerisms — Big Focus
Deep, clipped baritone with ridge-country burr; counts out loud while pacing (“One, two—move!”). Folds arms across chest when thinking, then snaps fingers once when he’s decided.
Equipment & Possessions
Dent-scarred shortsword, makeshift tower shield cut from a shattered hatch, battered tin whistle used to signal shifts.
