Sivara-Akai

In the Realms of Sahalor in the southern regions of the Scorched Lands live the Sivara-Akai, the High Elves.
These elves are unlike the Sumraki-Ashaī of Styx: whereas the Sumraki-Ashaī fled to the Deeplands following the on-set of the Bright the Sivara-Akai („Elevated People“) remained on the surface and adapted to the brave new worlds that their cataclysmic war with the Sumraki-Ashaī, also called the War of the Ancients spawned. The Sivara-Aken primarily worship Sah-Sahelioran, the God of Sunlight and Conquest who they build colossal pyramidic monuments for.
The Sivara organize in large clans with each of the Seven Clans ruling one region of the southern edge of the Scorched Lands.
Each of these clans is dedicated to Sah-Sahelior as well as one of the Seven Suns. The Sivara view the Seven Suns as the loyal hunting dogs of the Lord of Sunlight and believe that their prime God blessed them with the dark skin that lets them easily brave the oppressive light of the Suns which he commands.
The Sivara are semi nomadic: most of their clans seasonally migrate within their traditional territory but one of them is fully nomadic with no territory to call their home.
They travel with their Sandsail Ships that carry them over the burning sands effortlessly using the strong winds which are common in the Endless Sands.
The Sivara are known to collect few in the coolest hours of Twilight and to utilize all parts of the prey they hunt going as far as drinking it’s blood. For this purpose they have selectively bred leeches for size, a practice they picked up from the Zet-se, a people of jackal-like humanoids which they trade with.
These leeches which are called „Tsuak“ are fed the blood of hunted prey to store it for days where no successful hunt is possible. This way both the Zet-se and the Sivara subsist in the extremely challenging conditions found in the Southern Endless Sands.
