Sharhaven's Crest

The imposing castle on the black cliffs above Sharhaven is called Sharhaven's Crest.
It has six tall towers of obsidian stone and its defensive walls are said to be impenetrable.

Sharhaven boasts not having been successfully invaded since its foundation many millenia ago and the castle is the crown of that achievement.
Not even the ongoing assaults of the Rhynraen-Anruth have so much as endangered the unconquerable status of the mighty castle of the Tharnova family.
Duke of Sharhaven, Ryld VI. of the Tharnova line rules his fiefdom from the leaden throne found in the castle's great hall.
The castle's dungeons are located deep below at sea level and below and many tales are spun about them being haunted from the prisoners who drowned down there when flashfloods hit.

Much darker tales speak about the things that transpire in those catacombs below the sea level, of shadows darker than anything one could imagine and of otherworldly horrors creeping in them.

Some say the Tharnova family itself is tied to whatever unimaginable dread gnaws silently in shadow within the deepest depths of the catacombs of their ancient castle of black stone upon the cliffs and that it was their ancestors who awakened it in their lust for darker powers.

The city of Sharhaven lies spread around the cliff that Sharhaven's Crest is perched on and in times of peril its people flock within the safe and steady walls of their ancestral rulers.
