Blacksheep

Blacksheep is an animal species that resembles and is closely related to sheep, that are colored black, including their skin and fur. Their eyes are light and reflective, seemingly glowing when viewed in moonlight. Blacksheep are nocturnal, grazing at night and sleeping during the day in burrows, hollows, shade, caves, or barns. They are domesticated and are often shepherded by tiefling shepherds due to their nocturnal nature and the tieflings' ability to adapt to nocturnal routines. Other than their nocturnal nature, they are just like sheep, and provide milk (grey in color), black wool (prized by tieflings and others for clothes), and meat (somewhat of a delicacy).   Blacksheep are originally from Tockotch Hwell and Orze Hwell but can today be found in large numbers on Sogn Hwell and Moethe Havn, brought there by tiefling migrants. Their nighttime grazing has caused some territorial disputes and concerns, but are ultimately appreciated due to the tieflings' ability to help protect their herds and the herds of the humans' and halfings' "whitesheep" safe from predators like wolves, bears, and foxes.
