Tabaxi

Though closely related to the animalistic kemono, the feline tabaxi have existed separate from that race for some time in the world of Sturth. Though similar in look and function to the tabaxi of other D&D worlds, Sturthan tabaxi are unique in several regards:
  • While fleeing aboard the Exodus fleet, a small population of feline kemono were separated from their fellows, and remained separated from the rest of the kemono for millennia while at sea. This long period without contact has given rise to a totally unique species now known as tabaxi.
  • Used to the waves, tabaxi of Sturth are capable riggers, working with the drift elves in the highest sails and ropes of the world galleons as if it were solid ground.
  • Unlike the kemono, who retain a mostly human physique, tabaxi have developed lanky limbs and a body covered in short hair, both of which assist in traversing the high rigging. Even in Respite today, tabaxi still live in communities high above the ground.

Motivations

Tabaxi are very friendly and outgoing (at least typically), garnering a reputation as social butterflies. Some tabaxi take up an adventuring life simply to meet new people, while others strike out for more material reasons such as magical treasure or historical artifacts.

Playing a Tabaxi

Tabaxi are functionally identical to those found in D&D Beyond.   Tabaxi have no subraces.
