Gods

According to legend, the gods used to roam Sturth in physical form, massive avatars that towered over all else -- a constant reminder of their power and influence. However, the great cataclyms that caused the Exodus killed these godly avatars, leaving the gods without form. Today, direct divine intervention is considered absurd, though evidence of the gods' power through their most strict adherents is unmistakable.   Below is a list of the major gods of Sturth and the domains they control:

The Elusive Tempest, Trickery Three swirls spiraling from a central point Trickster god of illusions, schemes, and wind
The Hand Knowledge, Trickery, War A hand grasping a head from above Ever-planning lord of fate, whose presence can be felt everywhere to those who believe
The Hearth Forge, Peace Single log on fire Loving god of simple pleasures, family bonds, and fertility
The Horizon Grave, Nature, Twilight Circle with a horizontal line through it Keeper of the divide between life and death, light and dark, purity and corruption, and guide to the spaces between
The Indomitable Order, War Shield emblazoned with a footprint Unwavering strength of the mountains, bravery of all who face certain death, and protector of the innocent
The Judge Death, Life, Order Set of empty silver scales Grand decider of one's fate after death, whether reborn or broken and made anew
The Maledict Death Split skull, worms pouring forth Usurper god of undeath, whose very presence taints the practice of justly raising the dead
The Rhythm Life, Peace Three music notes forming a triad Keeper of music and all that repeats, including the cycles and seasons
The Scribe Arcana, Knowledge Closed tome with crossed quills behind Mistress of lore in all its forms, from the magical to the mundane
The Spark Light, Tempest Seven-pointed star Bringer of light and creator of Oa and Ao, twin stars that form the lifelight, encompassing their warmth and their destruction
The Tide Nature, Tempest Bolt of lightning striking a wave Great baron of the waves, both friend and bitter enemy of all sailors
The Wellspring Life, Light Two figure eights laid perpendicular, forming a cross Originator of life and happiness, and the knowledge that these things will both come to pass
