Dragonborn

Sturthan dragonborn are a proud and imposing race, whose origins are viewed with awe by many. After all, the blood of dragons flows through their veins, something they are not shy to point out when challenged. Though largely similar to dragonborn in other D&D settings, those of Sturth are unique in several ways:
  • Unlike dragonborn in most D&D worlds, the dragonborn of Sturth have tails, a trait that reminds them daily of their connection to true dragons.
  • Dragonborn rarely form unitary cultures and tend instead to migrate between other cultures, acquiring their different aspects until their own perspective on the world is made clear. In this way, you may see dragonborn in the oddest of places, and they are not shy to interact with any- and everyone they meet.
  • After long years at sea, dragonborn long to see the true dragons again, though some have given up on that dream and accepted a new life of peace and learning.
  • Though kobolds hold some disdain for the dragonborn, the larger race views the smaller with amusement more than annoyance, only rarely becoming angered with their tiny kin.

Motivations

Dragonborn are almost universally motivated by the promise of new knowledge, something to add to their perspective of the world. Though they do not interact with their own kind very often and are in general rare, dragonborn do occasionally seek a mate, and this process can be quite laborious indeed. Otherwise, dragonborn value individuality and their desires and wants are mostly their own.

Playing a Dragonborn

Dragonborn are functionally identical to those found in D&D Beyond.   Feel free to use any color of dragonborn as your subrace. Though none have been seen for long ages, dragons of all kinds still roam this world.
