Choral Cliffs

The beautiful set of high white cliffs flanking the natural harbor of Respite, these wonders give the city its nickname: city of singing tides. Twice a day, once at high tide and once more at low, the rushing waters dance through the ancient hollow cliffs, creating a hauntingly beautiful symphony.
Due to the huge waves and dangerous conditions, the exact nature of these cliffs is unknown.
Strangely, they appear to produce a totally unique song with every tide. A popular activity for students of music in Respite is to transcribe these "tidesongs" and attempt to deduce a pattern. So far, the efforts have been inconclusive.
