General Summary

The Darkfurs arrived in Baldur's Gate on the morning of the 23rd, immediately following a treasure map Jisra had been given. Upon finding the treasure, they narrowly avoided being hit by a crossbow bolt fired by Star's father before he recognized her. The trio were invited to spend some time with Star's family while Star caught up with the goings on and was told about a Vaudeville show that the Oasis would be putting on in a few days. They went into the city and went different ways to get settled in to their various lodgings. The following day, Mist revealed to his friends that he needed to return a signet ring that he had mysteriously found in his pouch after a lustful night with Lady Isolde Ravenshadow, then found again in a pawn shop in Waterdeep with a 500 gold reward. Upon arriving at her home, they found her being poorly-wooed by a seeming Bard, but one who turned out to be her spy, acting as a suitor to protect her honor and see who was trustworthy. Mist and Star both realized that he was a fake and Mist called him out on it, using words that would have been cause for a duel under any other circumstances. It was revealed that the reward was for Mist being honest and honorable, rather than simply returning the ring. Star performed in a tavern that night and earned not only much coin, but the Patronage of a mysterious noble-merchant, Vicount Eiias Duskmere. They also went to AmberDune books, where Mist tamed and purchased a monster book, along with several other books in the event that they needed to get into Candlekeep. They also visited a store that had a strange staff that made Mist's ears perk. He was told to come back later that evening, and successfully impressed the shopkeep for a 40% discount including a trade for his sword cane.
The following the day took them around the various stores in the city, plus a few taverns and inns. They started their pub crawl in their usual hangout of the Three Old Kegs, where Mist was staying. Star sold her crossbow, since followers of Eilistraee are not permitted ranged weapons. They headed to the Splurging Sturgeon, followed by the Elfsong Tavern. Star recognized the Heroes of Baldur's Gate honoring a fallen friend at another table, and the ghost sang of three souls lost to an evil bullywug and warning of even greater consequences if he is not stopped this time around. Their final stop was the Low Lantern, an old sailing ship turned pub. There, they learned more about an alleged hidden temple of the dead three under a local spa and bathouse, and about several locals who had gone missing. Jisra spoke with two male drow while her friends listened to the gossip.

The night of the 25th, Star and Jisra had their hunt, while Mist had his Brag. Jisra was late to lunch the following day, and bearing a new sword--a moonblade. She asked Mist to take them somewhere where they wouldn't be overheard, and told them that she had been shown the sword by Eiliestraee Herself, and had been given a vision warning her that Dark Lady DeVir was not only not a follower of Eiliestraee, she was a vampire follower of Shar who was working to corrupt the Promenade in Waterdeep. She also told them that she was moving to the temple of Eilistraee in Baldur's Gate to escape the corruption of the Promenade. Star had gotten a note with only an address during her performance, and the group visited that address, where they met Vicount Duskmere. The Vicount offered Star a solid deal and instructed her to find Mirt the Moneylender upon her return to Waterdeep.

Star performed at the Oasis, and Mist made the Shadow tribe chocolate, which made them all purr. On the 30th, Mist and Star were invited to attend a full-moon ceremony at the Moonlit Cloisters, where Jisra did her first sword dance with her new sword, and an evensong was sung for the spirit of the Drow killed by Muxagor.
