Session 9: Simril and Secrets
General Summary
The Darkfurs gathered in Waterdeep for Simril. Jisra spent a few days at her temple while the Cats explored Waterdeep. Mist got up to his usual shenanigans, while Star explored and met with Jisra in the temple. Everyone bought gifts for each other! On the say of Simril, they had breakfast with the Montclaires, including The Twins, who are Quite Mysterious Indeed (TM). Mist had a bit of culture shock that Nobles would deign to not only speak to the lower classes, but would invite them to breakfast! Simirl gifts were exchanged; Mist received some chocolate which made him go mew and a set of carnelian dice (they're fair dice!), Star got a fine wooden box for her flute and a cittern that gave her a headache until she attunes to it, Jisra got an unbreakable crystal flute and lovely bedspread. Star gave the Girls woven gifts from the Tabaxi culture and may or may not have fangirled The Twins a bit. They also learned that Auntie Levoux is probably Elidi Montclaire, the first girlchild sent to the Watcher in the Woods.
Jisra took them all over Waterdeep: they met the Montclaire gryphon, Bruno, who gave Star and Mist each a feather, went to Ssimbar's to pick up fancy new armor for Mist and get a new hat for Star, had a late lunch at the Yawning Portal, and then to the Festival! Much fun (and food) was had by all, Mist won several gold in games of chance, Star bought souvenirs for her family and got them autographed by The Twins, and even Jisra bought herself something shiny. Lady Silverhand was seen dancing with Jarlaxle, the trio went stargazing, Mist and Star went sledding, and Mist got a snootful of snow.
They all headed back to the Villa at false dawn, and slept well. Though Star might have a visitor...
