Session 13: Surviving Parent's Weekend
General Summary
Right so, we thought we had bested all of the bullshit pouring in from the Shadowfell, but before we even had time to leave the building to head back to our rooms, one last creature appeared. It was my old high school teacher, Matron Linen. Obviously she wasn't here for a visit. I insulted her ugly ass hag face and we started fighting. Cathia made it snow on her, and Night tried to hit her with a molotov cocktail, but missed. It was fine though because Alan came running up and gored that bitch. She zapped Skoldreg, Randy and me with a big ass lightning bolt and holy shit it hurt. Then she zapped Cathia and Night That Eats Stars and disappeared like onto another plane or something. Super.
We took advantage of her disappearance to down some healing potions, but of course she came right back. As soon as she reappeared she started taunting me with visions of the Shadowfell torture chamber, but I wasn't afraid of this bitch. I tried to punch her, but I was just so worn out with all this by this point. Cillian was still on it though, and wounded her. Night's Little Sister came up and scratched Matron Linen. I don't know what she did then, but most of us got super sleepy. I woke up and found that Alan Dracula had rammed Linen to death and was peeing on her body. That's cool. Except I almost got some moose pee on me. No one else seemed to mind the moose pee and they all started digging around to see what Matron Linen had on her. Skoldreg found a white rat and an empty jar in a couple of pouches, but he also found a really cool looking robe with eyes all over it.
Naviask told us he was upset about being used by my parents and that he felt bad about the deal with Cillian's parents. He said Cillian could tell him to fuck off if he wanted him out of his life. They seem to be kind of okay. They seemed to be bonding and stuff but somehow the conversation turned to Cathia's mom. Naviask said because of what Dad had done in trying to syphon his magic there would be a war now between the Feywild and the Shadowfell. I just asked him not to kill Necrosis. I guess I should have asked them not to kill my brother too. It's just hard to believe he won't be just like Dad one day. Anyway, Naviask returned to the Feywild and we left to go back to our dorms. As soon as we stepped outside, Piper ran up to Cillian all feisty like, slipped him a note, then ran away.
Cillian said that we had been invited to an orgy. I have looked forwaard to this day since I entered this school, but the mood just isn't there after all this. I mean my parents, my old teachers they tried to kill my friends, enslave my classmates. It's pretty fucked up stuff, you know. I told my friends I didn't think I was up for it. Night sang me a song to cheer me up and Cillian gave me a pep talk about how I was free now to be my own person and not be drug down by the Shadowfell and parents who were so different from me. I liked that perspective. It's better than feeling like I'm free floating and lost in a world I don't really belong anywhere in.
We headed back to our rooms to get some rest before the big orgy. I cuddled up with Night and her animals in her room. I just didn't feel like being alone.
A few hours later, we showed up at the Dapplewing Manor for the big orgy. It turns out this party was not an orgy at all. I wore a raincoat and lingerie but apparently we are supposed to be on a scavenger hunt for some sort of doll. Night asked if it was a sex doll. Piper said it wasn't. She said she wanted to give the doll to her brother because the doll was funny - like she says rude stuff when her hand is squeezed. She said the doll has pink hair and a patchwork dress. We asked her why she didn't just go get it and she said she failed. This is kind of a high stakes deal, because getting caught sneaking through the manor means getting kicked out of our clubs and activities.
We decide to get on with it and go find this doll. We creep around the side of the manor and look in the window. Randy went invisible, slipped in and saw a guy pacing back and forth. Randy crept past and saw a room full of portraits and statues. He kept exploring and in one room there were swords on the wall. Randy tried to take some food from this room and when he did the swords attacked. He disappeared to wherever it is he goes and came back a little bit later. The swords deactivated while he was gone, so that's something I guess. Randy stopped for a snack break after reappearing and then kept exploring. He found a ring with the name V. Lang, the physiology professor, inscribed on it. He also found about 10g. He kept prowling around got pew pewed by some missles, zapping him out. Cillian resummoned him and Randy came by to drop off the ring and money. Night identified the ring and it was a ring of mind shielding. It's pretty badass. As we were talking about the badassery of the ring, Skoldreg put on the cool eye cloak he looted earlier.
So that's all for now. I think it may be about time for us to actually go inside.
